From pulling out the old fixtures to the final fit-off, Clayton does the plumbing and gas for renovations, working with your builder, tiler and electrician or directly with owner-builders.
Rough-in: water, waste and gas pipework in the walls and floor before sheeting and waterproofing
Moving toilets, showers, basins and sinks to a new layout
Fit-off: toilets, vanities, tapware, showers, baths, sinks and dishwashers
Gas cooktops, ovens and gas hot water
Tempering valves and hot water upgrades where needed
QBCC notifiable work lodged on completion
Why the rough-in matters
Once the waterproofing and tiles go on, getting at the pipes is expensive. A careful rough-in (correct heights, falls, pressure-tested lines and the right valve positions) saves money later. Clayton will walk the layout with you or your builder before anything is closed in.
The paperwork
Bathroom and kitchen plumbing is generally notifiable work in Queensland. Your licensed plumber registers it with the QBCC on a Form 4 within 10 business days of finishing and gives you a copy. Gas work is certified by the gasfitter. Keep these with your house records, as buyers and insurers may ask for them.
Owner-builders and holiday rentals
Owner-builders get clear advice on sequencing and what needs to be ready before each visit. For holiday rentals and Airbnbs, work can be planned around bookings.

Clayton has been doing work for me in my bnb business for a number of years. I would never use anyone else again. Wonderful man with great family values. Very friendly trustworthy and professional.
Do I need a licensed plumber for a bathroom renovation?
Yes. Plumbing and drainage work in a renovation must be done by a QBCC-licensed plumber, and most of it is notifiable work that the plumber lodges with the QBCC.
Can I do the demolition myself to save money?
Often, yes, once the plumber has disconnected and capped the water, waste and gas. Talk it through first so nothing is damaged.
Do you work with owner-builders?
Yes. Clayton regularly works with owner-builders and will explain what needs to be ready before each stage.
