Town water, tanks, septic and LPG

The service area runs from the beaches to the range and up to Gympie, and the plumbing changes with it. Coastal suburbs are on town water and sewer (Unitywater on the Sunshine Coast and Noosa; Gympie Regional Council around Gympie). The hinterland and rural blocks often rely on rainwater tanks, pressure pumps and on-site sewage. Gas is almost always LPG, from bottles or a bulk tank. Each area page explains what that means for your house.
